Alongside the unique model presented for Only Watch 2023, the young Swiss brand Krayon is offering a new version of its best-seller, the Anywhere. L’Anywhere, the made-to-measure ephemeris
Behind its rather simple appearance, the Anywhere conceals an unprecedented complication: a personalized ephemeris. Each watch is specifically configured by Krayon to display sunrise and sunset times at a location chosen by the user. The information is presented on the outer edge of the dial, divided into two day/night zones and traversed by a small sun. It’s at once complex, poetic and highly personal. It’s a delicious mix, and one that goes a long way to explaining the success of Anywhere.
Meticulous design
At first glance, the Anywhere stands out for its meticulous design. The guillochage concentric highlights the annual calendar at 6 o’clockin a small sub-dial with 2 hands. Carefully faceted hour markers add a touch of light. But the real show is on the periphery of the dial, where the day/night cycle, with a light grey and a dark green part dotted with stars. Finally, the outermost edge features a 24-hour scale, completing the ephemeris. The back of the watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal caseback, revealing the magnificent hand-wound C030 caliber a marvel of technology, exquisitely decorated. It comprises 432 partsis built around 55 rubies, and delivers a whopping 72-hour power reserve.
The Aurora, a limited edition of 25
Compared to the “standard” version, the Anywhere Aurora introduces two new features. The most obvious is its green livery, which highlights the close relationship between the watch and nature. This green color has been obtained thanks to a special process, called ALD (Atomic Layer Deposit), which enables the color to be graduated very precisely, to obtain the perfect hue, as well as a number of other features. extremely rich play of light. Another novelty is the use of grade 5 titanium. This material, which is very demanding to work with, enableslighten the watch while offering better scratch resistance than the gold used in other models.
