Arpiem innovates with a rotating dial on its Ride & Drive

As we begin this article, we realize that this is the very first time we’ve talked to you about Arpiem. The French brand has just unveiled a brand new collection with a singular function and a very special purpose. A great opportunity to catch up with you and present this new trio Ride & Drive !

Like many young brands today, Arpiem made its debut on the famous American platform Kickstarter. After a first successful campaign in 2020, it did it again the following year. This new success has enabled the brand of Vincent Repoux who today unveils a third collectionthis time without the need for crowdfunding. Arpiem comes from the English pronunciation of the letters RPM, meaning “Revolutions Per Minute”. Inspired by the world of mechanics, it pays direct homage to the golden age of the motorsport of the 1960s and 1970s with a racing look and retro spirit.

With the Ride & Drive collection, Arpiem offers us a beautiful nod to a specific type of watch: the “Driver’s Watch. Initially created for aviators, it was soon adopted by racing drivers, and stands out for its staggered dial for optimized reading while keeping hands on the wheel. But here, Arpiem goes one step further by offering a rotating dial can be locked on two positions REST, the traditional position, and DRIVE, the pilot position with the 12 o’clock marker shifted to 2 o’clock. A real innovation, full of meaning and uniqueness.

Three creations share the same 42mm stainless steel case housing the automatic movement NH35 from Seiko. On the menu, theIMATRA with its white dial in homage to the Continental Circus (world motorcycle speed championship), the TT and its black dial, a nod to the “Ton up boys” of the Mountain Course circuit, and finally theASSEN and its orange open-heart dial in reference to the legendary Dutch circuit. All three are topped with a sapphire crystalmounted on a leather strap with Italian stitching and priced at 459€.
