Changpeng Zhao speaks out after his release from prison
Last Friday, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) released from prison after 4 months behind bars. Starting with a first “gm” on profile X, he then spoke a little longer on Sunday to say more about his projects. First of all, he wanted to thank the people who supported him and shared his first impressions:
Gm, the food is so good… And what a luxury to be able to eat more than one fruit a day! I know some of you may have a lot of questions. I won’t have all the answers. Let me relax a little. Then I will think about the next steps. There will always be more opportunities in the future than in the past.

To begin with, after years of developing the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world and a forced exit, the entrepreneur now intends to spend time growing a new project presented last spring: Giggle Academy. Indeed, CZ expects this educational platform to take up a lot of space in his life for years to come.

As he announced following his departure from Binance, the person reaffirms his intention to continue his investments in the blockchain, artificial intelligence and biotechnology sectors. At the same time, part of his fortune and his time should be allocated to charitable works, including education, and he explains that he has some ideas on this aspect, without saying more.
Moreover, Changpeng Zhao reveals that he has started writing a book and that he has even already written two thirds of it, while specifying that this required “much more work than expected“. For now, no potential release date has yet been mentioned.
Finally, CZ seems to be satisfied with the direction that Binance is taking since he is no longer in charge:
Oh, Binance seems to be doing fine without me at the wheel, which is great. Every founder’s dream!
While the Binance chapter is now behind him, as are his troubles with American justice, we will be able to follow in more detail the way in which he gets involved in the ecosystem over the coming months.
