In just 35 years, this new model marks the arrival of the Geneva-based company’s 31st caliber. An enthusiast of complications, and still affordable in comparison with the competition, this Frédérique Constant movement named FC-735 combines three complications: moon phase, large date and power reserve indicator. Spotlight on this news named Classic Power Reserve Big Date Manufacture and available in four references.
On the menu, the manufacture founded in 1988 by Aletta and Peter Stas offers two limited editions as well as two models entering the permanent collection. The most notable, a blue meteorite dialfeatures a platinum caseall limited to 35 pieces and priced at €25,995. Next comes a version with a rose gold case all limited to 350 pieces at €17,995. These exclusive watches are not representative of the novelty that this line represents, however. steel models are priced at €4,795. A surprising price, but totally in line with the values of Frédérique Constant, which strives to create luxurious timepieces at the right price. And at that price, competitors are damn few and far between!
The size of the cases, on the other hand, remains identical, i.e. a universal 40mm diameter 12.19mm thick, in view of the multiple complications. Despite its air of perfect harmony with the rest of the Manufacture collection’s “Classic” line, this case has a very limited number of complications. revisited lines The case is as curved as ever, but with new lugs that are shorter but wider. An appreciable detail: its multiple complications are also synonymous with simplicity. all adjustments are made via the crown. Let’s not forget to mention the indexes, reworked for greater finesse with diamond-worked facets on sunray backgrounds (except for the metreorite dial, of course).
