At the very beginning of the year, we told you about the rebirth of the Sous-Marine, the famous diver of the 1960s signed Brass. The year continues at full speed for the brand initially created by the Dodane family, which returns with a limited edition of its Type 20named Stealth.
Airain takes up here the basis of the reissue of its legendary chronograph unveiled a little over 2 years ago now, to offer a special version with the original color code. She adorns herself with a anthracite DLC coating in perfect harmony with its gray dial and bracelet. The result: an ultra-efficient monochrome. Let’s take a closer look at its dial. We find there the imposing Arabic numerals facilitating readability, here covered with Super-LumiNova with Old Radium effect. Its two sub-counters (small seconds at 9 o’clock and 30-minute totalizer at 3 o’clock) display a circular finish in contrast to the grained texture of the rest of the dial.
For everything else, we keep the elements of the Type 20 Reissue, present in the permanent catalog of the brand. Namely: a case with very pleasant proportions (39.5mm in diameter for 10.85mm excluding glass thickness) topped with a bidirectional steel bezel and a domed sapphire crystalall protecting the very reliable caliber AM2. It is a column-wheel chronograph movement with manual winding equipped with function history flyback and offering a comfortable 63-hour power reserve. The latter is designed by the AMT manufacture, the high-end branch of the engine manufacturer Sellita, based in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Produced at only 134 copiesthis Stealth edition is available for pre-order for delivery at the end of the year.
