Four months ago to the day, we told you about Balmont. More than a project, it’s a reality in the making today on the brand’s official website. And to celebrate the launch, the young French house is unveiling two big surprises: a preferential rate for 10 days as well as 33 first copies of each piece in the BDX collection will be numbered !

Five Balmont watches are now available, starting with the BDX001, BDX002, BDX003 and BDX004 designed – as their names suggest – in Bordeaux. Do you understand the nod to the first 33 numbered copies? But don’t worry, they’ll be back! into the permanent collection. Each watch, made in Switzerland, will be shipped in April 2024 with a free shipping anywhere in the world. All watches will be guaranteed for 24 months (obviously from the date of shipment) and now available in store at Horel in Bordeauxindefinitely.
LAX001: California dial limited to 100 pieces
From the LAX001nothing changes: the California dial is limited to 100 piecesof course numbered and never reproduced. Given their popularity, you’ll almost have to be lucky to have the pleasure of obtaining one… With a diameter of 40mm, each watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, features a slightly domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, a large screw-down crown, a mostly brushed finish to limit the appearance of micro-scratches, a Swiss automatic movement by Soprod and a second lined nylon strap for extreme resistance. And that’s without mentioning the pierced lugs, transparent caseback, gilded and engraved oscillating weight, 12mm thinness and superb pin buckle. In watchmaking, it’s all in the details !
Mission Alpha: see you in 2024!
This is where magic comes to life. Rather than telling a story, it’s better to create one. And above all, to make it real, tangible and human. And so, each year, with one collection per year, a unique piece guaranteed for life will be buried – or even submerged – somewhere in the world in a hermetically sealed capsule. This will give life to two adventures: the first for the Balmont team who will set it up, but above all the second for the person who will fetch it. This person will become an ambassador, telling his or her story to the mission manager, who will share it with the community. How to find it, clues will be provided along the way to all customers, until the exact GPS coordinates are revealed if the capsule has not been unearthed within a year. And for the first “Alpha” mission in 2024, the chosen playground is the mountains. An environment as magical as it is intractable. So get ready, the adventure begins soon!
