Vacheron Constantin has also studied the problem, and offers its Overseas with 3 interchangeable bracelets instantly and without tools. But the young independent watchmaker Byrne decided to go even further. Here, it is the dial that changes! Discovery of the unique concept offered by the Byrne Gyro Dial.
A revolutionary dial that changes every day
The concept of the Byrne Gyro Dial is based on a very original innovation: a changing dial. In effect, each index of 3, 6, 9 and 12h exists under 4 versions, and all change simultaneously at midnight. Thus, the watch can instantly switch from a sporty look to a more relaxed style, or play the card of sobriety and elegance. Moreover, the design of these 4 indexes is fully customizable ! Arabic numerals, Roman numerals, baton indexes, but also special characters, original patterns, or favorite numerals: the Byrne Gyro Dial is adapts to your desires.
The case of the Gyro Dial is made of titanium and measures 41.7mm in diameter. It adopts an unusual shape, reminiscent of the “C-shape” cases of the 60s, but in a much more muscular version. It also presents a very marked profile, with a 14.8mm height. Like the dial, it is available in several colors, again for the sake of personalization. It is accompanied by a rubber or crocodile leather strap, made by the French manufacturer John Rousseau.
A unique movement made in Fleurier
To allow such a feat, Byrne had to develop his own movement called Gyro Dial, the caliber 5555. This unique movement required three years of work, carried out with the watchmakers of Le Temps Manufacture, in Fleurier, Switzerland. Composed of 261 elements, articulated around 40 jewels and delivering 60 hours of power reserve, this entirely manufactured gem is visible through the transparent case back.
