Depancel The Tangerine: a colorful chronograph

5 years ago, we met its founder, Clément Meynier. From, Depancel has come a long way. After raising more than €400,000 on Kickstarter during two successful campaigns, the brand continues to develop its range, still marked by a strong automotive inspiration. Today we reveal to you The Tangerinean automatic chronograph produced in a limited edition at only 100 copies.

The Tangerine is pure Depancel. A look that sweats the asphalt and the burnt tire in an envelope with the neat finish. For this special edition, the young brand has particularly worked on the composition of its dial: a modern bicompax made up of “big eyes” sub-counters logically associated with imposing baton indexes. The latter is surmounted by a sapphire crystal and one ceramic bezel graduated with a tachymeter scale emphasizing the sportiness of the piece.

This novelty reflects a real rise in power for Depancel, which until then mainly followed Miyota or Seiko movements. After the Pista GT, powered by the STP 6-15 caliber, the young company is continuing its momentum with the Tangerine. At its heart, the robust and recognized caliber 7753, produced by the ETA factory. It is more precisely a movement self-winding chronograph equipped with the precious date function (arranged at 6 o’clock). The latter brings the price of the Tangerine to 1,795€but do not delay because the 100 copies products are likely to leave very quickly from January 31st.
