Today, we are interested in a colorful novelty signed TAG Heuer. The La Chaux-de-Fonds factory, headed by Frédéric Arnault, has just unveiled a brand new version of its Carrera Chronograph Tourbillona limited edition named Polychrome.
An “accessible” Swiss tourbillon
Remember, in 2019 TAG Heuer already presented a limited edition of its Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, the “Nanograph” then displayed at €27,150, before presenting an automatic version, the 02T, a skeleton tourbillon chronograph at just €15,000. The Swiss brand is now doing it again with a new limited edition of 150 pieces, a direct continuation of the “Nanograph”. Displayed at a price of 23,350€the Polychrome version is one of the cheapest Swiss tourbillon chronographs on the market.
A mix of titanium and carbon
TAG Heuer retains the angular shape and the generous proportions of its case, displaying a diameter of 45mm with a 10 bar water resistance. This is also made in grade 2 titaniumbut this time supplemented by a carbon bezel and lugs, which adds a little touch of sportiness to this “haute horlogerie” piece. The whole surrounds a rainbow dialobtained thanks to a PVD treatment, full of audacity and singularity.
A manufacture automatic movement
On the mechanical side, we find the powerful and efficient caliber HEUER02T. A Manufacture automatic movement oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 65 hours of power reserve. Equipped with a chronograph complication and a tourbillon, its precision is also certified by the COSC. A concentrate of technique perfectly associated with a piece full of character that will quickly find its audience!
